The Ashland Garden Club holds one or two major fundraising events each year: a Plant Sale every May and often a Garden Tour or other garden-related event such as our 2008 Garden Symposium. You will also find us at town celebrations for Earth Day, Arbor Day and Ashland Day.

Winter Presentation

Our second annual Winter Presentation took place on January 30, 2010. Participants were inspired and informed by slide shows on Cary Award-Winning Plants by Wayne Mezitt of Weston Nurseries and Seasons in my Garden by renowned Ashland gardener Lois Tougas. Thanks again to all involved!

On January 31, 2009, we held our first (and free!) Winter Workshop, Sights and Sounds of Winter, at the Ashland Public Library. Thanks to the many people who turned out! A slide show on winter birding and a demonstration on creating an indoor dish garden helped make the long winter more enjoyable for our participants. View our photos.

Plant Sale

Come to the plant sale May 8, 2010!

On the Saturday of Mother's Day Weekend every May, the garden club holds a plant sale at Montenegro Square from 9 am - 12 noon. Large, healthy plants from members' gardens are available at reasonable prices. Come by and pick up some great plants along with free gardening advice.

Summer Garden Symposium

For summer 2008, we launched a new event, a Garden Symposium on Fresh Ideas and Inspiring Spaces. It was a lovely day with informative speakers and demonstrations, good food and good fun. We will likely be offering more events like this in the future. View our photos.

Garden Tour

Our next garden tour, Teascapes in the Garden, is Saturday, July 17, 2010.

We are constantly discovering amazing hidden gardens here in Ashland to share with you on our next Garden Tour. Join us for the tour - it's a wonderful way to spend a day and see Ashland in a new light.
